Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 2026
Short version: Bold Labs Go does not collect any personal data directly. The App uses Google AdMob to serve ads, which may collect certain device information to deliver relevant advertising. Your experiment data never leaves your device.
01
What We Collect
Bold Labs Go itself does not collect any personal data. We do not collect names, email addresses, or location data. However, the App uses Google AdMob to display advertisements, which may collect certain information as described in Section 3.
02
Data Stored on Your Device
The App stores experiment results — readings, graph gradients, star ratings, and conclusions — in a local database on your device using Hive.
This data never leaves your device and is used solely to power the in-app Lab Notebook feature. You can clear it at any time by uninstalling the App.
03
Advertising — Google AdMob
Bold Labs Go uses Google AdMob to serve in-app advertisements as a means of keeping the App free for students. AdMob may collect and use the following information to serve relevant ads:
- Advertising ID (Android Ad ID)
- Device model and operating system version
- IP address (used to infer approximate location)
- App interaction data (e.g. ad impressions and clicks)
This data is collected by Google and governed by Google's Privacy Policy. We do not have access to or control over the data AdMob collects.
You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time through your device settings: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalisation.
04
Internet Access
The App requires an internet connection solely to load advertisements via Google AdMob. All science simulation features and the Lab Notebook work fully offline — no internet connection is needed to use the App's core functionality.
05
Children's Privacy
The App is designed for O-Level and IGCSE students. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Google AdMob is configured to serve non-personalised ads only in contexts where the audience may include children, in compliance with COPPA and GDPR-K.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has been exposed to inappropriate data collection, please contact us at the address in Section 7.
06
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
